Sandbox demo · Northside Food Bank

A charity ledger you can see through.

Every gift lands in the open. Every spend needs a receipt. Claude reads each one and holds anything that looks wrong before a trustee pays it out through PayPal.

One donation, followed from the donate button to the receipt it paid for.

How a gift travels

Five stops, all of them on the record.

  1. 01 · Give

    A donor gives through PayPal

The gift is tied to an appeal, such as Winter Food Parcels, and appears on the public ledger straight away.

  2. 02 · Receipt

    A volunteer uploads the receipt

Money only leaves with proof. Each spend starts as a photo of a real receipt, attached to its row.

  3. 03 · AI check

Claude reads it and flags risk

Totals, supplier and history are checked. A spend far above the usual, or a likely duplicate, is held in amber.

  4. 04 · Approve

    A trustee makes the call

A person, not the model, approves or rejects. The reason is written next to the row for anyone to read.

  5. 05 · Payout

    PayPal pays the supplier

PayPal Payouts sends the money and the batch id is stamped on the row, so the trail ends at a real transfer.

  • Delivery Van Fuelgoal $600

“$480.00 is more than 3x the rolling mean of the last 3 spends.”

That is a real flag from the demo ledger. Another reads “looks like a duplicate of spend #5”. Held spends stay visible in amber until a trustee decides, and the reason stays on the row.
